THE STORY OF OUR NAME
If you don’t already know the story behind our name, let me share it with you.
Sonder is the name of our daughter, who passed away in July of 2022 after nearly eight years of living with a rare and mysterious syndrome. If you ever had the privilege of meeting her, you would have known that she oozed joy, compassion, and excitement from cheek to cheek.
Despite the challenges of hospitals, drama, and life’s stresses, Sonder was always overjoyed to be in the presence of the people around her. Regardless of grudges or adult worries, Sonder loved everyone and savored every moment. Her name embodies the realization that every person’s life is as vivid and complex as your own.
Inspired by her example, we named the company in her honor. We hope to serve everyone with the same compassionate warmth that Sonder shared with the world.
